About this Event

This popular webinar is for OTs new to paediatric practice who have an interest in developing their knowledge and skills around implementing family-centered practice. Kid Link Occupational Therapy is a paediatric private practice that prides themselves on delivering evidence-based and effective family centered practice. This webinar will support you in developing your understanding of evidence-based best practice in the paediatric space and how family-centred practice aligns with this. This workshop will be delivered by Danni Gheorghe and Josh White, two of Kid Link’s senior OTs.


Learning Objectives:

  • To explore the current evidence behind best practice within paediatric practice settings.
  • To understand what family centered practice is.
  • To understand best practice, and the role of parent education and coaching within this.
  • To understand the different funding models, and how to navigate your obligations within these.
  • To feel well equipped to build rapport with any family whilst managing expectations and setting boundaries.
  • To feel confident in setting effective goals and developing a therapy plan with a family.
  • To leave with resources to support being a sustainable practitioner.
  • To leave with templates to guide effective best practice for clients within your workplace.

  • 2.5 hour presentation, delivered by two experienced presenters who work in private paediatric OT practice.
  • Bonus 30 minutes of question time.

About the Presenters:

Danni Gheorghe

Danni is an Occupational Therapist, graduating in 2017 with a Masters in Occupational Therapy Practice from Monash University. Prior to this, Danni completed an undergraduate degree in Applied Sciences, Psychology. Danni has been with the Kid Link team since 2017 and is one of their senior OTs. Danni is endorsed by OT Australia to practice within the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health program. Danni is an experienced and passionate presenter with a keen interest in developing and sharing content on both child and carer regulation, executive functioning, and social skills. In addition to presenting, Danni provides mentoring to external pediatric OTs, supports Kid link OTs, and manages a pediatric caseload between 3yo-16yo.

Josh White

Josh is an Occupational Therapist, graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Australian Catholic University. Josh has been with the Kid Link team since 2020 and is one of thier senior OTs. Josh is endorsed by OT Australia to practice within the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health program. Josh has presented on a wide scope of topics and to a range of audiences. Josh supervises Kid Link OTs, and provides supervision for university students, as well as managing a peadiatric caseload between 4yo-18yo.
