About Chicago Dance Crash:
Under the visionary leadership of Artistic Director KC Bevis, Crash has emerged as the leading street dance fusion company in the Midwest. Known for its diverse repertoire, Crash’s performances feature choreography and freestyles by some of the nation’s top dance practitioners and tours annually across the U.S.
A two-time recipient of the Black Theater Alliance Award for Choreography, Crash’s impact extends beyond the stage. Recognized as a trailblazer by the Chicago Reader and Newcity Stage, the company has also been lauded for creating “The Most Inventive Work in the U.S.” by Dance Magazine.
Crash strives to not only provide unparalleled professional opportunities for concert and street dance artists, but also to share the richness of street dance culture and history with our audiences, local schools, and the global dance community.

Join us for "A Funky Formal Affair," the biggest celebration of the year for Chicago Dance Crash! The benefit will take place Friday, June 14th at the beautiful Chase Hall at Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago's West Loop. Enjoy a night of DJ'ed dancing & mingling, food, beverages, photo ops, performances, and exciting announcements about the company's upcoming works!
The theme of the night is funky but formal, paying homage to the movement and music that birthed street dance culture as we know it today. So feel free to pair your best sneakers, heels, or dancing boots with your favorite funky or fancy outfit!
This event offers you the exclusive opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists of Crash, catch two world-premiere performances, and get a sneak peek of this season's upcoming works under newly appointed Artistic Director KC Bevis. Stop by Epiphany for our live music series concerts, and be sure to hit Golden Hour before-hand for drinks and lite-bites! Doors open at 5pm Wednesday - Saturday for Golden Hour with 1/2 priced bottles of wine and other specials!
