About ‘I know a story about Eye’
Over the last few months, Eyes Gets Green have worked with film maker Emily Steele- Dias, learning different film making techniques. Inspired by the folklore and Eye village itself they have created a short original film. ‘I know a story about Eye’ it includes shadow puppetry, stop motion and spooky tales. This will be shown before the feature film for the afternoon.
There might be five to ten minutes to ask the young people about the film too.
Eye Gets Green have programmed a main feature film which has a link to theirs and they hope will bring lots of families out to see it. The film is the live action version of ‘How to train a dragon’ which was released in 2025.
There will be an interval/ break during the feature film to stock up on refreshments or a comfort break.
The Eye Youth Club tuck shop will provide treats with all donations going to the Youth club.
If little ones get distracted, they can take part in a craft activity or chill in the breakout room.

Here is a little description of the film:
On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his voice role from the animated franchise), Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society.
With the fierce and ambitious Astrid and the village’s quirky blacksmith Gobber by his side, Hiccup confronts a world torn by fear and misunderstanding.
