Everyone loves a good story, and improv is no different. Whether you're performing an improvised play, a montage or even just a stand alone scene- storytelling is everywhere. This 90 minute crash course will mainly focus on the five act structure, vital storytelling components and what drives narratives forward. By the end, you'll have a good understanding of how to create compelling stories that will have your audience on the edge of their seat! This workshop is taught by Judy Alfereti, who has over 11 years experience. Judy is a writer/performer with a masters in television fiction drama. A regular at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Judy has written and performed several shows ranging from serious drama to lighthearted comedy. She has been teaching improv for over 6 years, having taught at UK Screen Acting Academy, University of Bristol and HER-larious. Judy regularly performs improvised soap operas and murder mysteries with her all woman team "Three Act Sluture", alongside musical improv with "Skip Intro" and silly improv with "Silly Geese".
