Cultural and Healing Traditions of the Peruvian Aymara
Silvia Calisaya - Aymara Healer from Lake Titikaka.
My grandmother was my first university, she was a healer and a midwife. I started learning many things from her as well as the coca reading. I began to seek more information about the origin of the coca leaves and why the native people were still using them. In doing this, I found the life philosophy of the Aymaras still living in this part of the world, and following their traditional healing practices."
Silvia Calisaya Chuquimia (Mama Coca) is a traditional Aymara healer descended from the pre-Inca people who inhabit the southern Lake Titicaca region. She was born and raised in a small highland village, she left as a young woman to pursue her education and a professional life, and later returned to the traditional teachings of her people. She is an expert at the ancient art of reading coca leaves for divination and healing, and is the proprietor of the Coca Leaf Museum in Puno, Peru. Coca is a sacred plant for the inhabitants of the Andes, still held in veneration among the indigenous and mestizo peoples of South America.
Silvia comes to share the philosophy, teachings, and traditions of the Aymara, as well as the history of the ancient people still living in PERU.
Silvia was traveling many places in this last 20 years as to Canada, USA, Holland, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Argentina, Brasil and Australia.

Healing of the uterus
This group ritual will help heal children and their generations. They say that by healing the uterus,
one can open paths and heal pain (whether physical or emotional), but it all depends on
how much one is willing to enter that dimension that cannot be seen with the eyes.
And if they want individual healing, it will help many women, especially those who cannot have
babies.
Connection of the Uterus to the Heart
• It is said that for a woman to access the energy of her heart, she must first heal her
womb.
• It is said that the uterus holds valuable information that, when listened to, flows in favor of
healing and reconciliation.
• It is said that the uterus is like the brain; it holds the information of our entire life, as well as the
feminine lineage of our ancestors.
This therapy is an ancestral practice that goes beyond physical care. We talk about
healing feminine energy. You can gestate yourself and be born new and renewed.
Men can also do this therapy as it will allow them to recognize and honor their
feminine lineage. Healing begins where life begins, in the womb.
