About this Event
Boat trips through Kirstall, Leeds
Spend 1.5 hours travelling the canals and rivers on the historic narrow boat Apollo. Built in 1929 Apollo is a fine example of how a working narrow boat should be. Spend some time being the cargo in the open hold of this spectacular vessel. You can engage with navigation and history as much as you like with the guidance of our local expert skippers, or just sit back and relax. The choice is yours.
Feel free to bring your own food, drink (including alcohol) and have a great time. A great experience for all (dogs welcome)
What to Bring On Board 🚤
☐ A big coat – This is Yorkshire, after all. Layers are your friend.
☐ A sense of adventure – You might be steering the boat or working a lock before you know it.
☐ Food & drink – Bring your own picnic and tipples (yes, including alcohol).
☐ Comfy shoes – Ideal for stepping on and off the boat and helping with locks.
☐ Your crew – Family, friends, kids, and well-behaved dogs are all welcome.
☐ Curiosity – There’s history, stories, and canal life to soak up along the way.
☐ No need to worry about facilities – There’s a toilet onboard, so you’re covered.
Turn up, wrap up, and relax—we’ll handle the boat.
All you need to do is enjoy Yorkshire from the water 🌊
