The longest running pinball tournament in Tennessee returns to Memphis!Way back in 2015, Ace Madjlesi and Trey Crews created Tilted Hearts, one of the first IFPA tournaments ever held in Memphis. This annual event served as the introduction to competitive pinball for many players in the Mid-South.
For six consecutive years, the tournament evolved along with the Memphis pinball scene. It survived changes to venues, formats, players, and tournament software.
What it couldn’t survive was a global pandemic.
The most recent Tilted Hearts was held in February of 2020, just a few weeks before COVID shut down the pinball world. Tournaments were still paused in February 2021, and by 2022, Ace and Trey were moving on to other opportunities in another state.
Now after a two-year hiatus, I’m proud to revive this event for a new generation of players. Welcome to the 7th Annual Tilted Hearts!
This year’s tournament will be a 9 fair-strike knockout. Four-player groups are scored 0/1/1/2. Three player groups are scored 0/1/2. Last person without 9 strikes is the winner.
Entry fee is $10, plus tokens for the games. Flip Side is adding prize money, and there will be trophies for the top finishers.
Flip Side will open at 11:00 AM for lunch and practice. The tournament will start at 1:00 PM. There’s plenty of free parking in the Crosstown Concourse garage just across the street.
