6th Annual Redd Foxx Award of Humor

On Sunday, December 8, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia some of entertainment’s, biggest stars willgather to celebrate the comedic genius of Joe Torry. The Redd Foxx Award of Humor is presented annually to a special selected recipient of comedy who maintains a reputation for being truthful, authentic, inspirational, raw, and most importantly funny. This award has been presented to TK Kirkland, Luenell, Donnell Rawlings, George Wallace, Talent Harris, DC Young Fly and Rip Michael's in the past. Celebrities such as Dave Chappelle, Chris Tucker, DL Hughley, Eddie Griffin, Tiffany Haddish, Snoop Dogg, Deon Cole, Peabo Bryson, Guy, Goodie Mob, Eddie Griffin, Chelsea Handler, and more have taken part in the annual celebration for Redd Foxx’s birthday and the award ceremony. This year will once again be a fundraiser for youth charities in Redd Foxx’s hometown of St Louis. Joe Torry is also a native of St Louis. Joe Torry is a force to be reckoned with. He has been making the world laugh for over two

decades. From his outstanding hosting of the legendary HBO Def Comedy Jam to his

groundbreaking role in Poetic Justice, Joe has been a huge success on stage and screen. He’s packed comedy venues while keeping us in stitches with his acting roles. How-ever Joe’s most remarkable quality is being a man of God. He puts God first in all that he does. He has shown that with God all things are possible. When we choose to honor Joe with the 6th Annual Redd Foxx Award, many people expressed that Joe is long overdue when it comes to receiving his flowers of recognition. With that being said there is no one more deserving than Joe Torry. Thank you for continuing the legacy of Redd Foxx.
