Yin is the softer side of yoga: slow, receptive, allowing. Exploring gently activating shapes in the body, largely seated and reclining postures, where we use our breath in the longer holds to dissolve deeply held tension in body and mind. Feel the difference a regular Yin Yoga practice makes:
~ A calm mind and more space between thoughts
~ Tissues that are supple and responsive
~ A deep sense of safety and connection in your body
~ Urgency is replaced with ease, patience, and trust
~ Your joints find more mobility and space, making stillness and sleep easier
~ Movement feels more joyful, and you're more sensitive to what your body feels
~ You feel tuned in to your inner knowing, and can listen more deeply to your body's wisdom
~ Your nervous system is more flexible, adaptable, and defaults to calm and alert more frequently
Yin Yoga is the perfect compliment to our busy lifestyles, allowing the body and mind to find a slower pace and the deep inner stillness we each innately crave.
