4th Annual Momma I Don't Want to Go College!

Do you know a Class of 2024 graduate that needs with their plans after high school? "Momma I Don't Want to Go to College" Skills and Trade Expo strives to connect young adults, ages 16-30, and their families to current job openings; college support; internship and/or apprenticeship opportunities; industry certification opportunities; on-the-job training, and career services for positions available in high demand skills and trade industries.

Prior to the pandemic in 2020 we connected over 200 attendees to 31 organizations providing career opportunities. The pandemic has hit everyone HARD. Now more than ever it is important to connect the community to opportunities that matter.

We are still honoring the life and legacy of Nipsey Hussle's "Too big to fail" approach to economic-development and wealth building. Charlotte and surrounding areas, Let's paint our city "Nipsey Blue" and celebrate the rise in technical and blue-collar skilled jobs and #successwithoutdebt!

This is your opportunity to meet with vendors; listen to panelist discuss topics ranging from "College is NOT for me" to "Blueprint to a new workforce"; and enjoy live entertainment and performances! This is a family-friendly event! Some vendors will be hiring on the spot!
