This year’s celebration honors the enduring legacy of Black trans and gender-expansive leaders who have shaped our history, including the late Miss Major, whose courage and activism continue to inspire generations.
More than a gala, I Was Here is a living tribute. A night of remembrance, joy, and collective healing. Through live performances, music, spoken word, and community rituals, we affirm that our stories, our love, and our leadership will never be erased.
