Have you been dancing salsa for a while and feel it’s time to go deeper into other styles?Then this course is for you! Son Cubano, considered the father of salsa, is the key to taking your dancing to the next level.
4-week Son Level UP course (8 hours total)

📅 Course Schedule
Week 1 - September 18
✔️Son Movement & Body Styling + Partnering Techniques
We’ll start from the foundations, sharpening your musical ear to master the rhythm, working on essential figures, and developing body, arm, and elegance styling in partner work.
Week 2 - September 25
✔️Son Movement & Body Styling + Partnered Musicality
You’ll learn how to play with the music as a couple, interpreting instrument accents and musical breaks, boosting your creativity and musicality.
Week 3 - October 2
✔️Tornillos + Partner Choreography
We’ll train techniques to execute tornillos (for both leaders and followers), improving your balance, control, and partner support, while learning more dynamic and challenging combinations.
Week 4 - October 9
✔️Rumba Guaguancó + Rumba with Son
You’ll refine your rumba and then fuse it with Son, understanding how Rumba Guaguancó transformed the oriental Son into the Havana/Urbano Son that conquered the world.
📍Location: CanDance Studios, Isolatorweg 28, Amsterdam (FREE parking!)
Level info: This course is designed for intermediate to advanced salsa dancers who want to refine their style and master Son. No prior Son experience is required, but please note that the pace will be faster than a beginner salsa class.
