Event Description:This 90-minute workshop is the first in our 3rd Trimester + Labor Prep Series, designed to help expecting parents (30+ weeks) build confidence and clarity as they approach birth. Through practical tools, supportive guidance, and hands-on learning, we’ll explore what labor looks like and how to recognize the signs that your baby is on the way.

In Labor Basics + Early Signs, you’ll learn how to distinguish early vs. active labor, how to time contractions (with a hands-on demo), and when it’s time to call your provider or head to your birth location. We'll also discuss the powerful role of labor hormones, how to reduce tension and fear, and what to expect during each stage of labor. You’ll leave with practical pain-coping techniques using breath, voice, and movement—all aimed at helping you feel more in tune with your body and your birth process.

This workshop is part of a flexible, drop-in series—come to any session that fits your needs or stage of pregnancy.

Meet Your Instructor: Emma Andriotis

Emma is a devoted mother of two and a passionate holistic birth and postpartum doula serving families across South Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania. She believes deeply in each person’s innate wisdom and strength to birth their baby and is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care throughout the perinatal journey.
