Welcome to 3rd Friday Milonga at OmCulture!We are so pleased to welcome back Loelle Lim! She really needs no introduction as you all have had the pleasure of dancing to her sets. If you're a newbie, get ready for an experience. Here's a quick description of her sets.
The music Loelle plays to tune up the dance floor reflects her broad learning experiences from numerous milongas, tango festivals and championships she attended in multiple countries including Argentina, Japan, Korea, and so on. She presents extensive collection of classic and traditional Argentine tango music from the golden age era, also brings delightful taste of tango from global modern orchestras.
For this dance, she will present a diverse collection of traditional tango music including the golden decade (1935-1952) and a nice touch of well-known modern orchestras.
Our new format is to start each dance with a fun 'cool move' Rueda style lesson with Michelle Badion. The lesson is designed as an ice-breaker in which all participants pair up and practice and intro step, a 'cool move' in the middle and an outro step at which time all follows move up or down the line, Rueda style. It's super fun, allows all leads and follow to meet and dance with each other and gives everyone the opportunity to learn one more 'cool move'! Great for those newer to tango.
