The URI Office of Strategic Initiatives, in partnership with the Schmidt Center for Labor Relations and Human Resources, is excited to welcome you to register for URI's 38th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference, hosted by the Rogers Williams University School of Law.
Sessions will address state and federal court updates, changes at the National Labor Relations Board, implications of the rapid integration of AI into workplace environments and functions, how employers can stay true to their DEI values while remaining compliant with evolving federal regulations, and the program will conclude with a special fireside chat. The tentative agenda will be accessible via the URI Office of Strategic Initiatives website on January 26th.
The conference is open to the public and will benefit anyone working in the labor and employment fields.
Registration Information:
Space is limited to 190 attendees. Early-bird tickets will be available until February 27th at a discounted rate of $200 per person. After that date, the ticket fee will increase to $250 per person.
A student rate of $60 is available to graduate and law students, and a discounted registration fee of $75 is available for URI faculty and staff. URI alumni may enjoy the discounted early bird rate until the close of registration. Students, faculty, staff members, and alums who are interested in registering at the discounted rate should contact the OSI team's conference coordinator, Jennifer, at [email protected] to receive a discount code and registration instructions.
Tickets will not be eligible for a refund but may be transferred with advance approval by the URI Office of Strategic Initiatives team.
Professional Development and Certification Credits:
This program is expected to be approved for Rhode Island MCLE credits, including DEI and ethics credits. Attorneys seeking MCLE credits should include their bar registration number on their online registration form.
This program is expected to be approved for SHRM PDC credits for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP recertification. To receive the PDC Activity Number, please include your SHRM membership number on your online registration.
A Certificate of Completion will be provided at the conference and emailed to those who request one following the event.
