Learn how to make a rain barrel and take it home for a fraction of the retail cost while supporting local conservation efforts.
Using a rain barrel is a simple, effective way to reduce polluted runoff and protect Narragansett Bay. Each barrel captures stormwater from your roof and stores it for lawn and garden use.
Cost: $60 per barrel
Includes:
- Unpainted rain barrel
- Complete installation kit (connects to your downspout)
- Prep instructions via video and FAQ
Pick-Up & Assembly Details
Where:
101 Asylum Road, Bristol, RI 02809. Behind the Community Center.
When:
Saturday, April 11th, 2026
10 AM to 12 PM
Please arrive during your selected pickup time.
You will sand and prep your barrel on site before taking it home. Wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty.
Rain date: Sunday, April 12th, 2026
Participants will be notified by email if the event is postponed due to weather.
