Celebrate Black History Month by joining us for the 37th Annual African American Read-in. Enjoy short readings authored by African Americans and read by youth, adults and local community leaders. Selections may include poetry, short stories, plays, or other literary works. This year we will highlight work by Ntozake Shange. This free family friendly event celebrating Black History Month is open to the community and light refreshments will be served.
The event is sponsored by the American Association of University Women, Kenosha Coalition for Dismantling Racism, Kenosha Community Media, Kenosha Literacy Council, Kenosha Public Library, and Kenosha Public Museums.
