2nd Comedy Festival

The Second International Comedy Festival comes to Calgary with three days dedicated to Spanish-language stand-up comedy, bringing together comedians from Colombia, Mexico, Chile, and Canada.

Audiences can enjoy family-friendly shows featuring a wide range of comedy styles, including impressions, character comedy, personal storytelling, and everyday life humor. The festival will also highlight a special segment for local young talent, showcasing new voices in comedy.

More than just a festival, it is a celebration of Latin culture and a gathering place for the Hispanic community in Calgary, offering nights full of laughter, great energy, and live entertainment.

Spanish........ El Segundo Festival Internacional de Comedia llega a Calgary con tres días dedicados al stand-up comedy en español, reuniendo comediantes de Colombia, México, Chile y Canadá.

El público podrá disfrutar de shows llenos de humor para toda la familia, con estilos variados que incluyen imitaciones, comedia de personajes, historias personales y humor cotidiano. También habrá un espacio especial para jóvenes talentos locales, destacando nuevas voces de la comedia.

Más que un festival, es una celebración de la cultura latina y un punto de encuentro para la comunidad hispana en Calgary, con noches llenas de risas, buena energía y entretenimiento en vivo.

Info: Tony Luna is a well-known Mexican comedian and impressionist with over 36 years of experience. He is famous for his appearances on Televisa programs since 1990 and is known as “The impersonator worth two.” He specializes in parodying figures such as Vicente Fernández, Juan Gabriel, Paquita la del Barrio, and Laura León in family-friendly shows.

Info: Checho Leguizamón is a prominent comedian from Bogotá with over 12 years of experience in Colombia’s stand-up comedy scene. Known for his unique style that blends graphic comedy, character humor, and monologues, he has appeared on well-known programs such as Comedy Central and Colombia Ríe. Rebecca Inos is a Colombian-Chilean stand-up comedian, recognized as an emerging talent in Colombia’s comedy scene. Her humor explores topics such as the Colombian economy, personal anecdotes, cultural traditions, and everyday life observations. She also incorporates regional humor, including references to the “pastuso” style.

Info: Lu Da Silva Ospina, known artistically as Lu Da Silva or by her nickname “La Garota Nea,” is a Colombian comedian, radio host, and content creator. She is recognized as the winner of the joke-telling competition on Sábados Felices in January 2026.

She refers to herself as “Garota Nea” due to her mixed heritage: her father is Brazilian (from São Paulo) and her mother is from Antioquia (Yarumal, Antioquia). Her comedy style blends Paisa culture with a bold, irreverent “nea” edge.El Paradero is a collective of Latino comedians based in Calgary, Alberta, dedicated to performing Spanish-language stand-up comedy shows.
