About this Event
The United 4 Burks Memorial Basketball Classic was born from Burks’ own vision. Before his passing, he shared the idea with Dwight Gentry about hosting a game at Paul Quinn College. To honor that wish, Dwight partnered with Pure Intentions Foundation, Inc.—the nonprofit created to continue Darron Burks’ legacy—and the tradition began.
What started as Burks’ dream is now the driving force behind the Foundation’s scholarship fund. Last year, we proudly awarded 4 scholarships nationwide, and this year, our goal is to double that impact!
This year’s event will be bigger than ever! Along with the thrilling matchup between the Bruhz and DPD, we’ll also have a Fall Fest and Trunk-o-Treat for the kids—fun, safe, and full of treats! 🎃🍂
