Please join us on May 13 at 12pm for our 2nd Annual Walk to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Men and Boys and raise awareness for these families and community. For more information, contact Corrine at [email protected]
For years, Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQ+ relatives have rightly received national attention and mobilization. While we must continue to support that work, we must also make space for the realities that our men and boys face — realities of violence, systemic racism, incarceration, and disappearance that too often go unacknowledged.
This march is a movement of love, justice, and healing. It is about honouring our men and boys, lifting up families in grief, and raising our collective voices to say: They mattered. They still matter.
Our walk will start at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (85 Israel Asper Way) at 12pm and will continue down York Ave., down Main St., and down Broadway Ave. to the Manitoba Legislative Building (450 Broadway).
Short speeches will start at 1:30pm at the Legislative Building from impacted families and leaders in Manitoba (TBA).
