The Gulfport Juneteenth Griots Society is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Harry C. Tartt Ecumenical Service, a vibrant gathering of community organizations, churches, and clergy, dedicated to celebrating Afro-American heritage and promoting unity within the Gulfport community.🖤💚❤️✨
The service, scheduled for Wednesday, June 19th at Morning Star Baptist Church, will feature an inspiring lineup of speakers focusing on Afro-American education and history. Distinguished guests will share insights and perspectives aimed at honoring the past, empowering the present, and shaping the future of the community.
In addition to thought-provoking presentations, attendees can expect an array of cultural entertainment showcasing the rich and diverse tapestry of Afro-American traditions. From music and dance to poetry and storytelling, the event promises to be a dynamic celebration of culture and creativity.
One of the highlights of the service will be a heartfelt memorial honoring community trailblazers who have made significant contributions to the advancement of Afro-American culture and society. Their legacies will be remembered and celebrated, serving as inspiration for generations to come.
Furthermore, the service will shine a spotlight on social justice and advocacy organizations that are actively working towards creating a more equitable and inclusive society. Their dedication and commitment to positive change will be recognized and applauded during the event.
The Gulfport Juneteenth Griots Society extends a warm invitation to all members of the community to join in this momentous occasion.
Together, let us embrace our shared heritage, celebrate our achievements, and reaffirm our commitment to building a brighter future for all.
