The Rochester River Run/Walk 5K—Sunday, April 19 at Genesee Valley Park—is celebrating its 25th year raising funds in support of patients awaiting or recovering from organ transplant surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital!The Rochester River Run/Walk 5K is an annual event sponsored by Friends of Strong Memorial Hospital and the hospital’s transplant teams.
Children are welcome to attend this family-friendly event.
Remember to pre-register by 11:59 p.m. Saturday, April 18 to receive the pre-registration rate of $35! Registration increases to $40 at 12:00 a.m. day-of race on Sunday, April 19. Day-of registrants are not guaranteed a race shirt. (size quantities are limited to first come–first serve) Day-of race registration fees are payable via credit card only. Cash and checks will only be accepted for donations and merchandise.

Why We Run (or Walk)
Your support and participation in the Rochester River Run will help hundreds of patients who come to Strong for heart, liver, kidney or pancreas transplant, and are often in need of financial assistance while awaiting and recovering from transplant surgery.
All proceeds from the Rochester River Run go toward helping our patients pay for incidental costs associated with the lifelong care transplant necessitates, such as life-saving medications and travel expenses. In addition to costly medical treatment, the need to travel – for some a great distance – adds financial strain on patients and their families.
