The Instituto Cervantes presents El Chojin’s UK TourEl Chojin is celebrating 25 years in music having established himself as one of the most respected voices in Spanish rap. Since the late 1990s he has released over 15 albums published books of poetry and essays and performed on stages around the world with a unique style: direct thoughtful and deeply engaged with social educational and personal issues.
Over the years he has collaborated with artists from various disciplines led international human rights campaigns and became the first rapper to perform at the European Parliament. His music has been heard in theatres festivals schools and concert halls — always with the same purpose: to use rap as a tool to connect question and inspire change.
Now 25 years on El Chojin returns to the stage to celebrate this journey with those who have been part of it.
