About this Event

Join us for a special Sustainability Afternoon in celebration of World Bee Day on 20th May, delivered in partnership with Berkeley and Urban Organic.

This session is open to children only (accompanied by a parent or guardian) and is designed to explore the importance of bees, biodiversity, and sustainable gardening through fun, hands-on activities.

Date: Tuesday, 20 May
Time: 4:00–5:30pm
Location: 2nd floor terrace at The Foundry

Activities will include:

  • Beekeeping and gardening sessions
  • A close-up look at an observation hive
  • Making seed balls / seed bombs with clay, compost, and bee-friendly wildflower seeds to take home
  • Exploring solitary bee homes, drilled logs, and cavity nests
  • Outdoor learning on the south terrace

There will also be a short break with snacks and refreshments provided.

We’re delighted to be running this event in partnership with Berkeley, creating an engaging afternoon focused on nature, pollinators, and green spaces.
