MELBOURNE SPIKERS - 2026 WINTER WHACKThis social tournament will see 36 teams gather to play across various grades, and compete for their chance to take home a medal.
Whether a frequent attendee or brand new to one of our tournaments, you are bound to have fun.
As is usually the case, this tournament will sell out quickly so be sure to reserve your spot ASAP!
TICKETING
Tickets can only be purchased via the website and are available in the following format. Please read the ticket information carefully to ensure you register correctly.
Team Tickets:
-$360 + ticketing fees.
-Each ticket is to register a team of 6 players only.
-Must be purchased prior to individual "Extra Player" tickets (details about these tickets below).
-Each ticket requires a number of checkout questions be answered. The responses required include team name, preferred grade, player names, dietary requirements, contact details and previous team names (if you played under different team name(s) in one of our previous tournaments).
-On sale - 12pm Monday 13th April 2026 to 12pm Friday 22nd May 2026 (unless sold out earlier).
Extra Player Tickets:
-$60 + ticketing fees.
-Must only be purchased once a "Team Ticket" has been purchased.
-Each ticket requires a number of checkout questions be answered. The responses required include team name, player name, dietary requirements, contact details.
-If you wish to add extra players after the ticket sales end, please reach out to us.
-On sale - 12pm Monday 13th April 2026 to 12pm Friday 22nd May 2026 (unless sold out earlier).
Spectator - Lunch Included Tickets:
-$25 + ticketing fees.
-This ticket is only for those who wish to be included in the lunch supplied by our caterer.
-On sale - 12pm Wednesday 25th March 2026 to 12pm Friday 22nd May 2026 (unless sold out earlier).
Spectator - No Lunch (Free) Tickets:
-This is a free ticket.
-We are keen to track the number of spectators that attend.
-Personal information entered for these tickets will not be used by the club in any way.
-On sale - 12pm Wednesday 25th March 2026 up to the event start time.
Individuals registered without a team will not be able to compete.
GRADES/GRADING
There are 6 grades for this tournament. From highest to lowest these grades have been set as A, B+, B, B-, C+, C.
Please note that your nominated grade may be adjusted to make the competition more even or for scheduling purposes. If experienced with our tournaments, please ensure you select a grade that suits your teams experience. If unsure about grades, please get in touch.
REFUNDS
Please reach out if, due to extenuating circumstances, you can no longer attend.
HUMANITIX FEES
Payable by purchasers and may not be refundable should tickets be refunded at certain points.
COMMUNICATIONS
Most communications will be via the team captains or those players/spectators who communicate with us directly.
VENUE
Eagle Stadium, 35 Ballan Road, Werribee, VIC 3030.
There is plenty of parking available.
SCHEDULE
8.00am - Players are required to be present at the venue for registrations
8.30am - General tournament briefing starts
8.55am - Games start
11.55pm - Lunch
5.30pm - Estimated end of tournament
7.30pm - Medal presentation
LUNCH
Lunch is provided on the day and is included in the price of all of the paid tickets.
When purchasing tickets you will be asked to register your dietary requirements and, at this stage, the cuisine is TBC.
MEDAL PRESENTATION & CELEBRATION
Venue TBC.
Finger food will be provided and drinks can be purchased at the bar.
GAME RULES
The rules will be communicated to team captains, who will share them with their teams.
