About this Event
The South End Garden Tour is on its 31st year of supporting community gardening across Boston and showcasing the beauty of the South End neighborhood.
Discover the beauty of secret spots in the South End on this map-guided tour through the neighborhood, stopping in private back yards, roof-top gardens, hidden alleyways, LGBT/POC historical sites, and some of our newly rennovated community garden spaces.
Historically and today, South End gardens have acted as community gathering spaces where residents have provided for their families, hosting unique cultural crops and cultivation techniques brought to the area from immigrant families. The diverse cultural history that has defined Boston's South End has brought along with it a distinctive and stunning architectural style which can be enjoyed with the full bloom June weather, delicious food, local arts and music, fun activities, and of course, an informative tour.
Each year the location of the tour changes around the neighborhood, hosting new community members and sites to be seen.
We hope you can join us for 2026, the 31st annual year to celebrate the South End!
