SC INBRE looks forward to welcoming you to our 2026 Career Development Workshop, an in-person day of learning and networking! With the success of last year’s refreshed program, we will be bringing back favorite components and sessions with some new offerings. Also returning will be the concurrent Career Fair and Cores and Collaborations Fair and the faculty Town Hall.
Join us on Monday, June 22 in Columbia, SC!
CDW26 will be held in the University Conference Center on the 8th Floor of the Close-Hipp Buildings on the USC Main Campus in Columbia.
What is the CDW?
The Career Development Workshop (CDW) is about you for you! Like last year, three tracks will be offered – one focused for students, one with a grant writing-focus and one for career development for faculty/staff/postdocs. Each of the sessions are intended to enhance your career development and/or grant proposal success. Attendees are not locked into a particular track, but rather are encouraged to attend those sessions which they feel best meets their career goals.
Who can attend?
Anyone! Although CDW is focused on STEMM, specifically NIH, we welcome all to attend. Sessions are for any academic rank — from high school summer research students to experienced faculty and staff members, and all in between.
What is the cost?
NOTHING! The workshop is free! (We even include lunch!)
