The time has come to pass the torch.
On Wednesday, March 25th (1–7pm) at The Rule, we’ll be electing the 2026/27 SAS Committee — the team that will run the comps, plan the trip, manage the madness, and keep SAS at the top of its game. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of the behind-the-scenes magic that makes SAS the club we all know and love, this is your chance!
There are 11 roles available, and every member is welcome (and encouraged!) to run:
President (minimum one year on committee required)
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Trip Coordinator
Media Secretary
Race Captain
Freestyle Captain
Recreational Captain
Social Secretary (x2)
Whether you thrive organising spreadsheets, leading teams, hyping socials, or planning the biggest week of the year, there’s a position for you.
How to run:
- Design a campaign poster and send it to [email protected]. Poster deadline is March 18th. Some examples from last year can be found in the discussion section or in last year's AGM event (https://facebook.com/events/s/sas-agm/1181412530307719/)
- Prepare a 2-minute speech to present at the AGM
Below is the estimated schedule for the day but please note that each role includes candidate speeches, discussion, and voting so timings will highly depend on the number of candidates.

13:00 – President’s Address: A look back at the year, key highlights, and where SAS is headed next.
13:10 – Treasurer’s Statement: Financial overview and club summary.
13:20 – Commencement of AGM: Quick explanation of voting procedures and structure for the afternoon.

16:00 – 15 min Break
16:15 – Media Secretary
