2026 San Antonio Black History Bike Ride

Join Black Girls Do Bike – San Antonio in collaboration with Ghisallo Cycling Initative, San Antonio Social Ride, MTCCSA (Major Taylor Cycling Club San Antonio), and Black Outside, Inc for a Black History Month a moving tribute to culture, history, and collective resilience.
This inclusive, social-paced ride will be co-led by COSA- Historic Preservation and will invite us to move together through the city while honoring how far we’ve come and acknowledging how far we still need to.

After the ride, join us at Cherrity Bar for a community market with music, local vendors, and nonprofit tables where you can learn how to stay involved, honor Black history year-round, and keep getting outside together.

***The event is BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike)****

The first 50 people to register for the event will recieve a complimentary t-shirt.

Don't have a bike but want to join?

Our friends from B-Cycle San Antonio have donated 20 bikes. The bikes are first come, first serve (register below)

Info: Rentals: Meet at Blue Star at 8:30 AM to collect your bike. A Ghisallo Cycling staff member will be on site to help with rentals and will lead the group on a short 10-minute ride to Cherrity Bar to join the Black History tour.

Info: Check-in will be held at Cherrity Bar from 8:30 to 9:00 AM. This window is for final bike/equipment checks and a brief meet-and-greet with the ride staff

Info: We’ll pedal clockwise across the East Side, pausing at key sites that illuminate Black history and culture. Ride time is approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours, adjusted to the group.
