2026 Polymer Women Empowerment & Research - Toronto
The Polymer Women Empowerment and Research (PoWER) Conference is a leading conference specifically aimed to showcase polymer research being conducted by women and gender minorities while also fostering a community of support. The design of the conference was to entail: scientific discourse, such as research talks and a poster session; avenues to address the hidden curriculum of how to succeed in the polymer field, such as thematic workshops; opportunities for collaboration, such as targeted networking events; and a facilitated discussion on diversity, equity, and inclusion, such as a lunch-and-learn. The seminal PoWER conference was held in 2024 at Northwestern University. There were over 180 attendees, speakers, and organizers from across the United States and Canada frim academia, national laboratories, and industry. The 2026 PoWER Conference will take place at the University of Toronto and we hope to see you there!
