About this Event

Cleanup for the Cranes

Point Mallard Park | Decatur Hike-Bike Way Trailhead Pavilion

Help us give back to the river that gives so much to our community.

Join us at Point Mallard Park for a Tennessee River shoreline cleanup as we work together to protect and preserve one of Decatur’s most valuable natural resources.

Volunteers will meet at 9:00 AM at the Decatur Hike-Bike Way Trailhead Pavilion, where we’ll gather before spreading out along the shoreline to remove litter and debris from the river’s edge.

While a group of participants launches for a guided kayak paddle, our cleanup volunteers will take the land-based route and work together to make a meaningful impact on the health and beauty of the Tennessee River.

It’s a simple way to spend a morning outdoors, connect with others who care about our environment, and help keep this special place clean for future generations.

🧤 Gloves, bags, and cleanup supplies will be provided
👥 Registration is limited to 50 volunteers

Event begins at 9:00 AM-11:00 AM
📍 Meeting Location: Decatur Hike-Bike Way Trailhead Pavilion – Point Mallard Park

Participants are encouraged to arrive early to complete a brief event waiver so we can begin the cleanup on time.

Whether you're passionate about conservation, love the outdoors, or just want to help make a difference, we’d love to have you join us.
