Join us for a concise, hands-on workshop designed specifically for child care educators participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This session will provide practical guidance on CACFP guidelines and regulations, with a focus on essential topics such as meal patterns, menu planning, and record-keeping. Participants will learn strategies for serving nutritious, well-balanced meals, encouraging healthy eating habits in children, and incorporating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into daily menus. We will also discuss accommodating dietary needs and managing food costs and waste efficiently.
This workshop offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen your understanding of CACFP requirements, connect with fellow educators, and build confidence in providing healthy meals for children.
*Please note: Annual CACFP training is required for all educators participating in the CACFP. Attendance at this in-person or virtual workshop will fulfill your annual training requirement for Fiscal Year October 2025 through September 2026.
This workshop was a game-changer for me. The practical tips on menu planning and accommodating dietary restrictions have greatly improved the meals I provide at my daycare.
Attending this workshop helped me see mealtime differently. I'm now more confident in introducing new foods to kids and managing our food budget more effectively.
