Join Student Government, The Student Programming Board, The United Black Association, and The Gates Center as they host Winter Gala 2025, the College's annual ball. Winter Gala is a glamorous evening of dancing, celebration, and community.
Dress Code: Dress to impress! At Lake Forest College we encourage diversity, uniqueness, and authenticity. Per the venue's policies, shoes must be worn at all times.
Food and Beverage: Light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages are included with your ticket. There will be a cash bar with beer and wine only. All students and guests of age will need a government-issued photo ID to purchase beer and wine.
Transportation: Bus transportation to and from the venue is included with your ticket. See below for more information.
Restrooms: Gender-inclusive restrooms will be available at the event.
Tickets and IDs:
- Lake Forest College students will need to purchase a $25 refundable ticket for the event. The ticket cost will be refunded to all Lake Forest College students who attend the event.
- Guest tickets are non-refundable and will cost $65. All guests must be 18 years or older to attend the event.
- Tickets are non-transferable and not for resale.
- All attendees must be prepared to present both a Lake Forest college ID and a government-issued ID for entry onto buses and into the venue.
- Lake Forest College student tickets will be refunded fully if canceled by Noon on February 18, 2025. After February 18 at Noon, tickets may be canceled but the purchaser will not be refunded the $25 deposit. If you need to cancel your ticket, please contact the Gates Center.
Transportation and Parking
- Optional bus transportation is available at no cost. The buses will leave from the Mohr Student Center at 7 p.m. and arrive at The Hilton at around 8 p.m. For the return trip, the buses will leave The Hilton at 11 p.m. and arrive back to campus around midnight.
- Students wish to take the Metra train, can take the train from the Lake Forest downtown Metra station to the Ogilvie Transportation Center (OTC). Upon arrival to OTC, walk 1 block to the Clinton Green Line CTA stop, and take the green line to the Roosevelt stop.
- Paid parking is available at parking lots throughout the Loop. Prices vary based on location.
Security: Because the venue is off-campus, The Hilton and the Chicago Police Department will provide security. Any students found in violation of local, state, or federal law will be referred to the Chicago Police Department and documented by college staff. All students are responsible for the actions of their guests.
