About this Event

This session will provide the necessary training for you to take on a role helping to monitor and maintain a trail along the Eno River.

We will meet at the picnic shelter at the Cole Mill Access of Eno River State Park.

The training will be outdoors, and it will consist of a presentation and a demonstration, so please wear shoes you are comfortable walking in.

The trail assignments which are currently available are listed below. Please consider which of these trails you would be interested in for your assignment prior to attending the training. You can consult the attached maps to see where these trails are located.

Eno River State Park

  • Buckquarter Creek Trail (1.4 miles)
  • Cabe Lands Trail (1.1 miles)
  • Cox Mountain Trail (3.1 miles)
  • Eno Trace (1.3 miles)
  • Fieldstone & Knight & Piedmont Trails (1.3 miles)
  • Holden Mill Trail (2.3 miles)
  • Laurel Bluffs Trail, Cabelands to Pump Station (2.7 miles)
  • Ridge & Shakori Trails (2.3 miles)

Historic Occoneechee Speedway

  • Spectator Trace, Terrace Trace, Wolf Tree Trace, & Beech Bluff Trails (1.1 miles)
  • Speedway Trace & Big Bend Trail (1.1 miles)

Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area

  • All trails (3.6 miles)

West Point to Penny's Bend

  • Mountains-to-Sea Trail, River Forest Park to Penny's Bend (2.6 miles)
  • Mountains-to-Sea Trail, Roxboro Road to River Forest Park (0.7 miles)
  • Sennett Hole, South River, Buffalo, & Laurel Cliffs Trails (1.6 miles)
