Another banger to kick off the year! A night of genre-blurring, border-dissolving sounds as we bring together two pioneers of global dance music: DJ Lag, the Gqom innovator from Durban, South Africa, and DJ Manny, the Footwork legend from Chicago.
DJ Lag has played a central role in shaping the Gqom movement, blending raw, percussive rhythms with deep, infectious basslines that have taken the world by storm. His sound is a true reflection of Africa’s underground energy.
DJ Manny, one of the GOATs of Footwork, has been pushing the genre’s rapid rhythms and soulful bass into new territories, keeping Chicago’s Footwork scene at the forefront of global dance music.
Opening the night is NO VISA resident Micky Slicks, an open-format DJ, club music specialist, and turntablist, who will set the tone for the evening.
