Join us for the Official Restart of the 2025 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race® which is now taking place in Fairbanks, Alaska!The Race will officially start at 11:00am on Monday, March 1 on the Chena River, leaving from Pike's Waterfront Lodge. Be sure to get there early to grab a good viewing spot right up at the Starting Line or down the river.
Mushers will line up for the Restart right at Pike's Waterfront Lodge. . At 11 a.m., the first teams will depart on their way to Nome, leaving in 3 minute intervals until all of the teams have left. The clock starts for the mushers as they leave the starting line. The difference in starting times is made up on a musher’s 24 hour mandatory layover.
