Join us for an engaging and informative morning as Atlanta City Council District 7 candidates share their vision for Buckhead’s future. This structured forum will give residents the opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about their priorities, perspectives, and approaches to governing.

Location: Mode X, 3005 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305 (inside Cortland at Buckhead Village)
Moderator: Denise Starling, Executive Director of Livable Buckhead
Confirmed Candidates:
Jamie Christy – Attorney and Vice President of Buckhead Young Republicans
Allen Daly – Cybersecurity professional and third generation Buckhead resident
Gerald “Thad” Flowers – Atlanta native, former Council Chief of Staff, and public affairs specialist
Rebecca King – Buckhead civic leader, past NPU B chair, and entrepreneur
William “Thomas” Worthy – Public policy executive and MARTA Board appointee
Format:
The forum will feature candidate introductions, rounds of moderated questions, and closing statements. Topics will include:
- Top priorities for District 7 in the first year of service
- Balancing district needs with broader citywide goals
- Housing affordability and rising costs
- Traffic congestion, transportation, and mobility solutions
- Public safety strategies paired with community investment
- Infrastructure funding and neighborhood improvements
- Engagement with residents, neighborhoods, and business owners
- Short-answer “lightning round” questions on MARTA expansion, bike and pedestrian infrastructure, zoning reforms, green building, and youth programs
About the Venue:
Mode X is Buckhead’s newest immersive studio, blending art, technology, and storytelling. With massive curved video screens and a cinematic design, it offers a one-of-a-kind backdrop for civic conversation.
Seating:
Capacity in the Mode X main auditorium is limited to 100 guests. Seats must be reserved in advance.
Parking and Access:
Parking is limited and can be difficult to locate. Clear directions and walking routes from nearby garages and village lots will be provided to all registered attendees in advance.
