UK Quizbowl are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 2025 British Student Quiz Championships on Saturday 8th March. This is the biggest and most prestigious student-only academic tournament held in the UK, and the field has been decided through qualifier events held in January, as well as spaces being reserved for institutions who performed highly at BSQC 2024 and a set of wildcards chosen by UKQB.The tournament will be held across the Blackett and Huxley buildings on Imperial's South Kensington campus. The closest tube station to these buildings is Gloucester Road (around a 10 minute walk away), or teams travelling into Paddington may find it quicker to walk from there. Please aim to be in Huxley LT 340 at 9:30 for a prompt start at 10. We envisage that the tournament will not finish before 7pm, excluding finals.

The fee system is as follows:
Base fee: £100
Discount for providing a fully functional buzzer set: -£5 (we are implementing a maximum number of buzzer discounts per institution of n+1 for n being the number of teams from your institution participating)
Discount for providing a moderator: -£25
Discount for long-distance travel (>200 miles to get to London): -£10
We are adapting questions from IQBT's Undergraduate Championship set. Games will consist of 22 tossup/bonus cycles with the following distribution per packet:
4/4 literature of which 1.5/1.5 is British
4/4 history of which 1.5/1.5 is British
4/4 science
3/3 fine arts
4/4 religion, mythology, philosophy and social sciences
3/3 other, which consists of 0.75/0.75 geography, 1.5/1.5 pop culture, 0.5/0.5 current events and 0.25/0.25 miscellaneous academic
