The Greater Tampa Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated invites you to an inspiring and empowering event the 2025 Ann Owen Gordon Oratorical Competition, Speak Up Speak Out (SUSO) event, Teen Art Competition, and Talent Showcase on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 12 - 3 pm.
Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders by fostering essential public speaking skills. This oratorical contest provides a platform for children to build confidence, poise, and the ability to express themselves effectively.
This Year’s Theme:
“Black Brilliance Rise & Shine: Our Future We Define”
Teens ages 13-15 will compete for the chance to represent the Greater Tampa Chapter at the state competition, with the opportunity to advance to the 69th Annual Southeastern Region Teen Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL.
Speak Up ~ Speak Out! (SUSO) is a signature program of the Southeastern Region. This non-competitive experience allows youth ages 10-12 to practice public speaking in a supportive and encouraging setting.
This year’s SUSO topic is: “The Crown We Carry, the Legacy We Leave.”
Join us as we celebrate and showcase the brilliance, courage, creativity, and vision of our talented GTC youth. Contestants will present original speeches, art work, and talent centered around these impactful themes, sharing their prespectives on culture, legacy and the future. This is a closed event for all GTC grade groups, members and our invited guests only. We would be honored to have you and members of your organization in attendance to support and encourage our future leaders and encourage and uplift these talented young voices.
