"I lived with fibroids for seven years, and for about half of this time, I wondered what made me different from all of my peers. Was I not supposed to move around and live as freely? My life changed gradually over time and there came a point where I needed to make a decision that could possibly alter me forever. I chose hope and I believed in a bigger reason, and since then my perspective has changed in so many ways that I can only view as positive. This story isn’t specific to my life, but it is to someone else’s. I’m just one of many". - Filmmaker Essence Mason
