ABOUT THE TORONTO BOOK AWARDS
Established by Toronto City Council in 1974, the Toronto Book Awards honours books of literary merit that are inspired by the city. This year, the Toronto Book Awards received a resounding 116 submissions. This is the third year the Arts & Letters Club is staging this preview event.
This is also an opportunity to enjoy the ambience of the Arts & Letters Club. Located at 14 Elm Street and constructed in 1891, the Club’s nationally historic building is one of Toronto’s hidden gems. It has been home away from home for writers, artists, musicians, architects and actors for over a century. Its members have included many renowned Canadian artists, including the Group of Seven.
With its rich history, the Arts & Letters Club is a perfect venue to celebrate Toronto’s talent. For more about the club visit or contact Fiona McKeown, [email protected], 416-597-0223.
