We are excited to bring our 18th Annual CURE SICKLE CELL NOW 5K Walk/Run Event!!
Join us in front of Howard University Hospital at the Plaza for fun and activities. Coach K Frizzell (Ms. Kristy Frizzell) will lead us in stretches and warm us up for walking and running. Later, we'll turn it up with some LINE DANCING and other fun activities!
Registration is FREE!! If you register by August 26, 2024, you're guaranteed a t-shirt when you arrive onsite! We'll have plenty of other free giveaways and raffle prizes, too.
Get connected to our social media, because we will post challenges that you can participate in throughout September as we raise awareness. Tag us so we can see you in action!

2. SPREAD THE WORD!! We welcome SCD warriors, their family members, friends, advocates and anyone in the community to join us!
3. Want to donate directly to the HU Center for Sickle Cell Disease? Give online !
T-shirts are only guaranteed for those who register ON or BEFORE August 26 and will only be distributed onsite. We will hold t-shirts until 11 AM, at which time they may be distributed to other participants. No shirts will be mailed or held for pick-up after the event.
Those who register after August 26 are not promised a t-shirt. A limited number of t-shirts will be available onsite and distributed on a first come- first served basis.
Not all exercises are suitable for everyone, and this or any other exercise program could result in injury. Any user of this exercise program assumes the risk of injury resulting from performing the exercises.
CSCN Run/Walk Challenge is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old to participate. Employees of Howard University, Howard University Hospital, immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children), and household members of each such employees are not eligible for prizes.
