Join us on Thursday afternoons from 5:30-7:00 PM for Barrett School of Music's acapella ensemble, directed by Enoch!
Students will meet weekly to train their ears in the art of singing without instruments. They'll gain an incredible and unique experience while stretching their musicianship and gaining confidence in their own personal sound!
The ensemble experience will finish off with a bang, giving vocalists incredible performance opportunities to show off the skills they've developed, performing at our 2023 Spring Recital!
Students will need to audition with a 16-bar selection of something they are comfortable with that shows off their natural voice, with the song selection being from either the classical or musical theater genres. Students will also be expected to sightread a brief excerpt and sing specific scales at the instructor's request.
Rehearsals will take place at Barrett School of Music in South Tampa every Thursday from 5:30-7 PM. Dates include 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, and 5/7 for the day of the performance.
