Gallery Opening Reception from 4-7pm: May Exhibition Opening in The Founders Gallery: Emerging – A Mix of Local & Promising Talent by Daytona State College Studio Arts Students. The students included in Emerging are either seeking an art degree or taking DSC courses as an elective to enhance their skills and knowledge in the fine arts. The growing levels of artistry and creativity of these talented college students will be on display. Opening 4-7pm. Exhibition through May 26. Wine and beer available for purchase.
Art Connections 10am-7pm: an inside look at the work of more than 60 local artists. Talk to the artists and learn about the process of creating art. Explore two floors of art in one historic building in the heart of the New Smyrna Beach Arts District.
Live Music 11am-1pm: The Salty Grass Band (local bluegrass group) outside The Hub; 5-7pm: Thomas Meadows in the Lobby.
Talk Art! 1-2pm: Travel Photography – Capturing the Beauty, Culture and Memories – An informal demonstration and conversation with Lisa Engelbrecht.
Sip & Stroll 1-6pm: The Hub and Jane’s participate every 1st Saturday in Canal Street’s Sip & Stroll. Purchase tickets at the Info Booth on Canal Street or online at www.canalstreetnsb.com and be sure to visit The Hub and Jane’s during your Canal Street journey.
