Sections and prizes:
3rd Grade/Under Scholastic – trophy prizes
8th Grade/Under Scholastic – trophy prizes
12th Grade/Under Scholastic – gift card prizes
Round times: 9:30 AM, 12:00 PM, last two rounds will begin ASAP
Arrival time: Arrive between 8:00–9:15 AM (includes on-site registration)
Ending time: Likely between 3:00-5:00 PM
Time control: G45;d5 (Each player has 45 minutes with a 5-second delay before each move)
USCF-rated requirements: All players must have a valid, current U.S. Chess Federation membership in order to play. Learn more and get one now at new.uschess.org/join-us-chess.
Entry fees for all sections:
$5 if registered by February 27
$20 if registered by May 1
$40 after May 1 and on-site
Equipment: Chess equipment will be provided. However, bring a clock if you have one! We have a limited number of clocks.
Byes: Up to two (2) half-point byes may be requested. Notify us ASAP to request a bye(s).
Awards: Trophy and gift card awards will be presented once games conclude for each section.
