Femmes Fatales started up in 2010 as a concept with focus on bringing more female DJs up to the surface in a time where there was a big gender imbalance on the line-ups. They've had regularly events at different venues and clubs such as Sikamikanico, The Villa, Elefant, Skansen, Fugazi, Hausmania and more. In addition to the residents Faia and MØRK, Femmes Fatales invites both local and international guest DJs to join them behind the decks playing underground house and techno.This June it will be 13 years since our first event at the iconic club Sikamikanico. To mark the occasion, we've invited Carina Helen, one of our longtime regular bookings that we've had the pleasure of performing with over the years. ✦ Carina Helen (Small Records / Virus / Elefant)
Carina Helen found her passion for electronic music in the nightclubs of Oslo, Norway in 1999, making the transition from dance floor to DJ booth just three years later when she finally followed her dream playing progressive house at club Sikamikanico.
Always moving and evolving, her style is rhythmic, ethnic and dark, full of attitude and never ending drive. A hypnotic blend of Underground Minimal, Deep Tech, and Techno crafted for the dance floor. For easy listening she also makes Deep House / Electronica sets for you to relax and enjoy.
Over the past 11 years, Carina Helen’s DJ sets have become a staple of Oslo's club scene. Deep Fridays, Virus and Lovebirds are some of the concepts she has created together with Thomas Skjærstad, Faia, Mikael Gordon and last but not least residency at Elefant.
Now these days she spends her time producing with her husband Eric Small (Small Records label)
Otherwise, she’s a regular fixture at Wicked wonderland, Femmes Fatales, Musikkfest, Sommerøya, Footworks, Shape, Escape, Techno State and Safari to name a few.
Abroad she has performed at major clubbing destinations such as Berlin (Golden Gate) Miami (WMC), Ibiza (Beautiful People), Barcelona (Off Sonar), Bansko / Andorra (Horizon Festival), Copenhagen (Culture Box), Italy (Rebus), Riga (Territoria), and Pristina (Mclub).

✦ Faia (Femmes Fatales / Romklang Records / Pointzer0 Rec / Small Records)
Oslo-based DJ and producer Faia has performed at numerous clubs and festivals in Norway since 2009. She's booked female DJs to her Femmes Fatales events on various venues for over a decade, and played at several clubs around Europe; Culture Box, Club VOID, Rummels Bucht, Golden Gate, Stroga Festival, and Jai Thep Festival in Thailand.
In 2018 Faia got into producing, and started a collaboration with Duppeditt. They run Romklang Records together, releasing their music. In 2021 they got signed by PointZer0 Rec releasing 2 tracks on V.A’s, 2022 'Small Beings' was released by Music4Aliens, and ’Escape EP’ with Amw Black Label.
Faia love being behind the decks, playing mostly deep, dark, groovy, psychedelic and hard Minimal, Techno and House.

✦ MØRK (Femmes Fatales / Foundation Of Krill)
MØRK has been a part of the techno scene in Norway for ten years, playing at everything from festivals to forest raves, and clubs including The Villa, Jaeger, Storgata26, Landmark, and Lokal Bar Trondheim. She's recently guested HÖR in Berlin twice with her high paced techno sets.
She is a resident DJ at the club concept Femmes Fatales, as well as the Bergen-based ‘Foundation by Krill’.
Her surname, “Mørk”, meaning “dark” in Norwegian, offers a clue as to her style of music: the dark and driving techno that both hit you in the gut and accelerate your heart rate, while simultaneously catapulting you onto the dance floor.
