The Mummers Parade is a family-friendly New Year’s Day celebration that has delighted visitors from Philadelphia and around the world for more than a century.
In 2026 we proudly celebrate 125 years of Mummery and mark the first parade honoring our nation’s 250th anniversary: a double milestone in Philadelphia’s rich history.
Each year more than 10000 costumed performers bring music color and creativity to Broad Street continuing a tradition that is uniquely Philadelphia.
Start your New Year’s Day with one of Philadelphia’s most cherished traditions: the 2026 Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia Mummers Parade!
The celebration kicks off at 9:00 a.m. beginning at City Hall and marching South down Broad Street to Washington Avenue until approximately 7:00 p.m.
Judging takes place on the West side of City Hall and Dilworth Plaza where performers showcase their spectacular routines. Seats in this area are available for purchase in person at the Philadelphia Independence Visitor Center (6th & Market Streets) or online at www.phlvisitorcenter.com.
Entertainers will perform along the parade route with special viewing areas located at 17th & Market Streets and along Broad Street at Sansom Pine and Carpenter Streets.
Beginning at 11:00 a.m. fans are also invited to visit the String Bands in their staging areas along Market Street (17th–21st Streets) and JFK Boulevard (17th–20th Streets) to catch a behind-the-scenes look as they put the finishing touches on their 2026 routines before performing live in front of City Hall.
