About this Event
This 10th anniversary London Conference on Belarusian Studies will take place on 9–10 May 2025 in the hybrid format. The Annual London Lecture on Belarusian Studies will follow the main conference panels. Those attending in person will be able to attend a reception at UCL and a tour of the Francis Skaryna Belarusian Library and Museum Church of St Cyril of Turau & All the Patron Saints of the Belarusian People.
The conference will also mark the 60th anniversary of the Journal of Belarusian Studies, the oldest scholarly periodical in this area.
The conference will feature papers that discuss history, political science, business, political economy, literature, sociology and religious studies. Selected papers will be peer-reviewed and published in the Journal of Belarusian Studies in 2025.
The organising committee includes Prof Yarik Kryvoi (co-chair), Prof Andrew Wilson (co-chair), Peter Braga, and Dr Karalina Matskievich.
