Join us at FABRIC for an evening of Dance, Movement, Self-Discovery, Knowledge and Empowerment.
This dance workshop is all about embracing your true self, exploring healthy sexual relationships and the perceptions of people living a positive+ Life!
Connect with like-minded individuals or allies to engage in this inspiring and educational workshop, exploring sexual health and relationships through conversation, choreography and movement practices. Commercial/Hip-Hop, Waacking and Vogue Dance.
You will leave feeling more confident, educated and motivated to support ending the stigma associated with people living with a HIV+ diagnosis.
Art Thou Ok Bab, was founded in 2024 by Producer, Choreographer and Dance Artist Jerry Lee!

Workshop/event will be hosted and facilitated by: LGBTQI+ dance artists, Jerry Lee, Eric Scutaro and Dr Nall, sexual health specialist.
Dr Nall: HIV and sexual health specialist. Information and open discussion around safe and healthy sexual relationships, living with a HIV diagnosis within the UK and Global community in 2024.
Jerry Lee: Award Winning Choreographer of Urban Future Crew. Commercial, Street, Hip-Hop.
Eric Scutaro: Founder of Queer-Side. Vogue, Waacking and Disco. "Express and Believe in Your QUEER-SIDE"
Project+1 Positively Me, was developed through funding awarded by "In Good Company" Your participation, feedback and the legacy of the project will inform the next stages of research for the development of Projects 2 & 3.
Ultimately, Art Thou Ok Bab hopes to produce a large-scale performance and educational project, that will feature a cast of community dancers and performance artists from across the West Midlands in 25/26!

Aged 16+ Open to all levels, free to attend and will feature a short impact film which has been produced as part of the project.
The workshop will also include participants that will be viewing the workshop rather than taking part in the physical activity, but can choose to take part in the discussion and provocation activities.
Possible Film/Content Trigger Warning Advised. Check-in and Check-out will feature throughout the workshop. Advanced description of each activity will be shared, as an organisation we encourage that you consider the different elements of the workshop and only take part in sections that you are comfortable with.
During the workshop will explore content which is of a sensitive nature, please be mindful and remember to allocate yourself processing time and space for self-care/reflection before, during, and after the event! (There will be a designated chill/quiet space)
Filming and Social Media: We will be filming activity throughout the event for documentation and promotional purposes. Participants of the workshop can opt out of filming, we will be using a wrist band system to identify anyone who doesn't wish to take part in filming.
