ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CANCER RESEARCH
Can you run a marathon with one lung? After his lung was removed and the chemotherapy saved his life, Terence Hartnett thought he would never be able to run the way he used to. Turns out he was right, but that’s OK. In this hilarious, inspirational, and captivating show, Hartnett tells the story of coming back from the brink of death having learned very little. His comedic takes on smokers, Austrians and the annoying people who run in place at stop lights are blended seamlessly with insights into cultural differences, post-cancer gratitude, and the embarrassing desire for accomplishment.
Terence Hartnett is a comedian and cancer survivor. He is a regular at Caroline’s on Broadway and a 2022 selection for NY Comedy Festival’s Comics to Watch. His mix of personal storytelling and tightly written material can be enjoyed by diehard comedy fans and sensitive story lovers alike. His last Fringe show was named a “Highly Recommended Show” by Fringe Review and was written up in The Lancet, an international medical journal (“One Lung, But Many Laughs…Hartnett's delivery was as slick as the 1950s-style kiss-curl in his fringe”).Comedy Clubhouse called the show “Insightful, emotional, and laugh-out-loud funny!” He won the 2024 European Comedy Award for Best Show. This is a fundraiser for Fred’s Team, who work with Memorial Sloan Kettering to do cancer research.
